YORK, PA – York Revolution Director of Baseball Operations Adam Gladstone has announced that the Atlantic League rights of first baseman Tyler Von Schell have been traded to the Camden Riversharks. The Revolution will receive cash or future considerations in return.

Last season, the right-handed bat reached Triple-A with the Fresno Grizzlies of the Pacific Coast League. Von Schell also played with the Connecticut Defenders (Double-A, Eastern League), and the San Jose Giants (A-Advanced, California League) in 2007 while with the San Francisco organization. The 28-year-old played collegiate baseball at the University of California-Santa Barabara, and is a native of Santa Rosa, California.
Von Schell has blasted 94 homeruns total during the course of his eight-year professional career, including 24 last season between San Jose and Connecticut. He has reached double digits in home run totals five times, and has a career slugging percentage of .404.
